Insect control devices use ultraviolet light to attract flying insects and neutralize them either through an electrically charged grid or a sticky surface. UV tubes attract flying insects by emitting UV light waves in the range of 350–368 nm. These tubes produce UV light that is comparable to sunlight, and insects are naturally drawn to sources of light and heat.
